Maria Montessori

If you do not know of Montessori's work, you may want to do a quick read of her wikipedia page here.  Or if you have some idea of what she has done and wish to know more, you may want to read one of her books, such as The Montessori Method, which is in the common domain.

There are many organizations dedicated to her method as well as businesses that sell her materials.  Organizations, blogs, and businesses I have found helpful I will post below.  I hope that this helps you on your journey.

One business and blog I found very helpful when beginning to assemble my classroom was Montessori Printshop.  She has many lessons for free and everything else is very reasonably priced.  It is all print and teach for those of us who are not as comfortable making our own materials.  Also on her site is some helpful information and links about Montessori.
